XCM Xbox 360 Case *Review*

This review is on the XCM Xbox 360 Crystal Clear replacement case. Once again I would like to thank Extreme-Mods.com for providing this kit for our review.

The Crystal Clear case replaces the entire stock Xbox 360 case with a crystal clear shell. This allows you to see the components inside the 360 and makes for some great eye candy when used along with some led fans or other internal mods.

The kit included:

Clear Case (top and bottom)
Clear Ends
Clear Faceplate
Clear HD Bay Cover
Clear Eject Button
Clear DVD Drive Tray Cover
Case Screw Tool
360 Case Separator Tool

To install this case you will first have to open up your 360 and remove the stock shell (also voids your warranty.) Here is a Guide for Disassembling your Xbox 360. Once you have it completely broken down you will basically just re-assemble it using the supplied case parts included in the XCM kit. Here is a Guide for the XCM Case Installation. We will have an install video produced and posted to this page shortly.

The installation was pretty simple and fairly straightforward as long as you follow the instructions carefully. I suggest keeping the protective plastic on all the major pieces until completed as this will minimize any unwanted scratches or scuffs on the case occuring during installation. Also, make sure to be very carefull with the small plastic tabs on the case pieces. These will crack and break off quite easily if you are not carefull.

 Conclusion

The XCM Xbox 360 Replacement Case is a very good product for modders. It is made fairly well, the plastic is very transparent and in no way cloudy like some plastics used in replacement cases. It displays the internal parts of the console quite well and if you are planning to install any LED fans or other internal modifications it will display them equally as well. This product receives a thumbs up here at MODaWii! Here is a pic with the case and some other cool XCM products installed (watch for more reviews including these soon!)
